Diversity, equity, and inclusion are a priority at Hilltop Academy. At the bottom of every page of our website, you will notice that we emphatically stand by and make it our mission to guard and protect the diversity of our Hilltop Community- those we serve and lead and those who lead and serve because it is what we honor and value.

From our very first planning sessions for Hilltop Academy, it was our primary intention to make our school accessible to all who are interested in attending, especially making it accessible for those who might otherwise not have the means or opportunity to have a private school experience. We set out to build a school that would celebrate the diversity of all members of our Hilltop Academy family, ensuring that all who attend know their inherent value and worth through the culture and climate we create and the systems, programs, and practices we implement.

Just as we are intentional with our student enrollment, Hilltop Academy is deliberate with recruitment and hiring practices, seeking faculty and staff who mirror our learners’ diversity. It is critical that our faculty and staff share the vision, mission, values, and beliefs our school upholds. Through their application and interview process, they will have demonstrated that they are highly qualified, have an open mind AND have a willingness to explore implicit bias and its impact on our society.

Our aim is to create a safe, compassionate, and understanding space for our young people and families unified in efforts to reconcile our past and work together as allies toward building new structures that protect equity and inclusion.
